Understanding of other cultures and faiths
At Wold Newton Foundation School, we recognise that we live in a diverse community that extends beyond our own school and home. We know that not everyone shares the same beliefs and values as ourselves. But we also know that the world is an exciting, fantastic place, full of amazing people and cultures. We believe that if we foster a greater understanding of other cultures and faiths, we develop tolerance, respect and an open mind. In turn, this dispels myths, fears and encourages our children to embrace the differences of others and all that this interaction can offer.
Every year, our children take part in a Christingle Service at Wold Newton church.
Class 2 celebrated Holi Festival by throwing paint at each other and performing a fantastic dance.
