Individual Liberty
At Wold Newton Foundation School, we encourage our children to form their own ideas, opinions and make their own choices. We understand that our choices must not remove other people's liberty and that this value is a privilege as not all people in the world have this freedom. We also learn that we can support others whose liberty has been removed or reduced and if they feel strongly about something, that there are ways of channeling these thoughts through discussion and democracy.
Our upper key stage 2 class learnt that during World War II, people fought for our freedom and rights to choose our own futures.
