Grammar, spelling and punctuation are taught through discrete sessions but also linked to the writing genre covered each half term. This enables pupils to master an objective before applying this within an independent written piece. We continue to use the Jolly Phonics scheme for Grammar, Spelling and Punctuation working through this from Year 1 to Year 6.
