Stuart Smith (Chair of Governors, Safeguarding Governor)
I have lived in Wold Newton for almost 20 years, both my children attended Wold Newton School and thoroughly enjoyed their time there. My wife Janet also works at the school. Currently, I am Vice Chair of Governors and greatly enjoy visiting the school and spending time with pupils and staff.
Alison Blyth (Vice Chair of Governors)
I am a mum of three boys and have worked with children from 6wks to 13yrs for the past 30+ years in many different settings and from all backgrounds. I am extremely passionate that all children should reach their potential and enjoy supporting school to achieve this. My role as a governor consists of SEN, EYFS, interviewing and helping within the class rooms when requested.
Charlie Marshall (Health and Safety/Educational Visits Governor)
I have grown up in the area and attended Wold Newton as a pupil. I am a retired Police Officer, having spent over 30 years working in a wide range of different roles and departments and spent the last ten years of service training new operational Police Officers and PCSO's. One of my roles is to oversee matters relating to Health and Safety and this includes trips off site.
Both my youngest sons attend the school and have always enjoyed their time there. Wold Newton is a very welcoming school and the children are always encouraged to look after each other and develop themselves. I greatly value the school, the tremendous staff and the children who are fortunate enough to spend their younger years there.
